Journalist Paul Brown reckons that Arsenal having Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith-Rowe in their prime at the same time is a frightening prospect for Mikel Arteta.

How have they performed this season?

Following their recent revival of 10 points from four games, Arsenal's campaign is finally heading in the right direction, with Saka, Odegaard and Smith-Rowe a key part of their recent upturn in fortunes.

Only four players have found the net for the Gunners in the Premier League this term, three being those named above, whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the other.

Gabriel tops Arsenal's WhoScored rating list, but Smith-Rowe, who sits seventh on the list with an average of 6.75 has arguably been their best offensive player despite only two goal involvements in 537 minutes.

Even when they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Brentford on the opening-day, the 20-year-old was a rare bright spot and he's continued that impressive form throughout Arsenal's first seven matches, culminating in a wonderful display in the north London derby when he managed a goal and an assist.

Saka also scored one and created one during that 3-0 win over Tottenham, whilst Odegaard notched the winner with an inch-perfect free-kick over Burnley eight days earlier and has kept up the good work that he started during his loan spell last season.

Despite Arsenal failing to find the net against Brighton on Saturday, a result which ended their three-match winning run, Brown has been impressed with their respective contributions.

What did Brown say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "All of them are able to run, all of them moving, interchanging, able to beat a man. They just look fearless.

"And just how much better those three can get because none of them are really in their prime yet. You don't really reach your prime until you're 24 or 25. And that's quite a frightening prospect if you think about it for other teams in the league. They've got a really bright future."

How important are they to Arsenal?

Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang have carried Arsenal offensively in recent years and even when they've not been at their best, their goals have kept the Gunners competitive in what's proved an extremely testing period for the club.

But it seems like the torch is slowly being passed down to the likes of Saka and Smith-Rowe, who're now considered the heartbeat of Arsenal's attack.

They're far from the finished article, but at just 20 and 21-years-old respectively, the north Londoners are in good hands moving forward.
