Luke Hatfield reckons that Callum Robinson has looked a completely different player this season.

How has Robinson performed?

Despite a recent blip, the Republic of Ireland forward has made a bright start to life back in the Championship with the Baggies.

During his last campaign in the second-tier, Robinson managed just three goals and two assists in 16 appearances. He's already matched that goal tally and added one more assist in just 10 outings this season, with only seven starts to his name.

Robinson started the season with goals in each of West Brom's first three games against Bournemouth, Luton and Sheffield United to help the Baggies lead the Championship table early on.

He hasn't found the net since that 4-0 hammering against his former side but chipped in with two key assists to help the Midlands outfit come from behind to beat Queens Park Rangers last month.

Robinson, valued at £5.4m by Transfermarket, has gone seven games without scoring, including at Stoke on Friday, but his three this season means he's just two behind the number he managed throughout the whole of last term.

And Hatfield has been impressed with his performances this season following on from his tricky first year as a Premier League player despite scoring four against European champions Chelsea when West Brom were in the top-flight.

What did Hatfield say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Callum Robinson looks a different player to the one that we saw in the Premier League. He's a really good player at this level and is someone that changes the way that Albion play."

How important has Robinson been for West Brom?

Robinson has more than played his part in West Brom's impressive start back in the Championship.

Whilst he should arguably get more goals for someone with his pace and quality, his goal record this season is currently one every three games, which means he's on course to reach around the 15-goal mark providing he stays fit.

He hit double figures in two of his three years at this level with Preston, so playing in a far more superior West Brom team that are expected to be challenging for automatic promotion, there's no reason the forward can't continue his goalscoring exploits moving forward and help the club get back into the Premier League.
