The Street Profits were nearly split up by WWE in the 2021 Draft, at least if this new report is to be believed.

According to PWInsider, WWE considering keeping Angelo Dawkins on Friday Night SmackDown and moving Montez Ford to Monday Night Raw in the WWE Draft, which concluded last night.

The Street Profits both ended up moving over to WWE Raw, but PWInsider notes that WWE considering breaking up the team and having them go on singles runs.

There was also serious consideration put into breaking up The Street Profits with the idea of Montez Ford moving to Raw with Bianca Belair and Angelo Dawkins remaining on Smackdown. That talk lessened over the course of last week and instead, T-Bar and Mace ended up split as a team as of last Friday's Smackdown.

As of right now, there is no word on why WWE didn't end up going with their original idea to split up The Street Profits, but fans of the duo will be pretty happy that they've been kept together.

Many fans speculated that WWE could be preparing to split Street Profits after Montez Ford wrestle Roman Reigns in the main event of SmackDown last month.

While no reputable sources reported this was the case, many speculated that WWE was giving Montez Ford a trial as a main event singles guy by having up close the show with Roman Reigns.

While WWE may not have split New Day, the decision was made to split several women's tag teams, with Tamina and Natalya and Shotzi and Tegan Nox both being assigned to different brands.

The decision was also made to split The New Day just a few weeks after the stable got back together, with Big E staying on Raw while Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston moved to SmackDown.
