Edinson Cavani has established himself as a firm favourite among Manchester United fans during his time at the club.The Uruguayan has ably done a job when given an opportunity, netting 17 goals in 39 appearances in his debut season, and carries himself with class, too.That much was evident when he handed over the No. 7 shirt to summer-signing Cristiano Ronaldo. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under pressure, he's going to have to rely on the experience of players like Cavani to help guide him through a season where the expectations have never been higher. The 34-year-old has been a serial winner throughout his career and that experience, coupled with his attitude and excellent work rate, can only have a positive impact in the dressing room.
Cavani's exemplary effort
In the past week, one of Cavani's finest attributes - his work rate - has been on full display, much to the delight of United supporters.
In the club's 2-1 win against Villarreal in the Champions League last week, a clip of the former PSG striker chasing down what appeared to be a lost cause went viral.
Days later, in United's Premier League contest at home to Everton, Cavani showcased his work ethic at the opposite end of the pitch.
He brushed past Mason Greenwood to close down Everton's Anthony Gordon and get in the way of Gordon's cross.
Roy Keane shocked by Cavani's 2020 warm up
Yet this is the same player who left former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane stunned when he demonstrated a rather casual approach to warming up last year.
Cavani started on the bench during United's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at home last season. Sent out to warm up, his efforts left Keane, a pundit for Sky Sports, not at all happy.
"I'm intrigued when I look at warm-ups. Cavani never threw a leg," Keane said.

"He actually didn't do a warm-up, did he?
"Then he comes on as a sub and is being asked to get them back in the game. Ole's talking about having to get him (Cavani) up to speed, well, sometimes it's up to the player to do something. Ole will pay the ultimate price, obviously."
Footage of Cavani's laid-back warm up later surfaced on social media.

Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News also spotted Cavani's languid warm up at half-time of the match.
He's been completely different since, though. Perhaps he's still got Keane's stinging rebuke ringing in his ears.
