Benzema, Lewandowski, Salah: Who has the most goal contributions in 2021/22?

What a season Karim Benzema is having!

We’re sad to report that it’s international break time once again.

Club football is now in the midst of a two-week sabbatical and most football fans will be counting down the days until domestic action resumes.

Perhaps the only upside to an international break is the fact that we can asses how individual players are doing this season without their personal statistics changing every couple of days.

So with that in mind, it’s time to take a look at the footballers who’re currently leading the way in terms of goal contributions in 2021/22.

Using Transfermarkt, we’ve provided the top 30 players in that regard and it’s certainly strange seeing neither Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi on the list.

Surprisingly, Benzema doesn’t take top spot. That position belongs to Austrian centre-forward Jantscher, who’s also the only player in the top 30 with 10 or more assists to his name.

Well played, Jakob.
