Cristiano Ronaldo & Khabib Nurmagomedov having a face-off is just brilliant

Khabib v Ronaldo - who you got?

MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is an avid football fan.

Last weekend, arguably the greatest fighter in UFC history was spotted watching both Manchester clubs in Premier League action.

Khabib was at Old Trafford for United's 1-1 draw with Everton on the Saturday, before making the short trip to Anfield the following day to watch City's hugely entertaining 2-2 draw away at title rivals Liverpool.

That's not a bad weekend to have, is it?

As well as watching two cracking matches in the north of England, Khabib got to meet up with his good pal Cristiano Ronaldo.

The two sporting icons are well-known to be close friends and during their recent time together, they partook in a rather hilarious 'face-off'.

It's a tradition which is commonplace in combat sports, although Khabib and Ronaldo's was, of course, not serious in the slightest.

Both tried and failed to hide smiles while they stared each other down and the footage is just brilliant.

After watching United's draw with Everton, Khabib took to Instagram to thank the team for the invitation and he also apologised to Ronaldo for getting a number seven jersey with his own name on the back.

The Russian wrote on the social media platform: “It’s a great honor to visit this legendary stadium, by invitation of the legendary football club Manchester United.

“Thanks for warm welcome.

“I hope Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham wouldn’t mind that I got number 7 .

“I’m not going to take a loss in this T-shirt, cause I will hang it on the wall in the frame, at most visible place in my house.”
