Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D of All Elite Wrestling fame has confirmed that WWE was "defintely" interested in signing her, and made that fact pretty clear.

She may be the AEW Women's Champion at the moment, but things may have turned out very differently for Britt Baker, as the 30-year-old has confirmed that WWE wanted to sign her.

While speaking on Throwing Down with Renee Paquette & Miesha Tate, Britt Baker confirmed that WWE gauged if she'd be interested in joining the company through her boyfriend, Adam Cole.

Baker confirmed that WWE made it clear, through what they said to Adam Cole, that they'd be interested in signing her. However, she said that she's happy with AEW and wasn't interested in WWE:

“It’s no secret, [Adam Cole] has already said it, that cat is out of the bag and I’m not going to get in trouble. WWE was definitely poking the bear a little bit through him recently, when I was still with AEW. ‘Hey, we’re interested in her,’ without teetering the line of contract tampering, they definitely let me know that they had interest in me, but it wasn’t a mutual thing. I’m very happy with AEW and thankful for the opportunities and this is where I want to stay,”

Adam Cole ended up leaving WWE in August 2021, going on to join his girlfriend Britt Baker in AEW at the All Out pay-per-view the following month.

It's not too surprising to hear that WWE was interested in signing Britt Baker considering she's regarded by many as one of the best female performers on the planet at the moment.

WWE almost certainly had the opportunity to sign Britt Baker previously after she wrestled a match for NXT in 2018 and took part in the second Mae Young Classic.
