Eddie Hall has sent a warning to Hafthor Bjornsson, showing his incredible power to break a punch machine at the Arnold Sports Festival this weekend.
The former World’s Strongest Man is set to take on his nemesis next March after their initial fight in September was postponed, with Hall having to withdraw after suffering a detached bicep injury.
Hall, 33, now looks to be largely recovered and put Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder to shame, out-powering both heavyweight champions to put the punching machine out of action.
Striking the bag with such ferocity and power at Bio-Synergy’s stand at the Sports Festival, Hall watched the machine’s number climb rapidly before the screen glitched out and switched off.
It comes as Hall came close to breaking Francis Ngannou’s world record for the hardest punch on the ‘PowerKube’, a high-tech machine that measures the power of an athlete’s punch by analysing their speed and force.
Sports nutrition company Bio-Synergy later tweeted: “Think @eddiehallWSM broke our machine @Facebook @instagram and @WhatsApp with that punch #makeithappen #teambiosynergy #strongman.”
Boxing fans will be licking their lips in anticipation for this fight, with known adversaries Hall and ‘The Mountain’ both expected to use their power to deliver some huge punches in this bout.
And while both fighters have recently been throwing lots of trash talk around, Hall has admitted that the real mind games haven’t even started yet.
Speaking to Luke Fullbrook in a YouTube interview at the Arnold Sports Festival, Hall said: “I am very confident. You know how seriously I take things. I have shown absolutely zero content in terms of how good or bad I am.
“I’m just going to let my fists do the talking. He can say or do whatever he wants, but at the end of the day, I’m going to knock him out.
“All that matters to me is that he’s getting knocked out.
“I haven’t even started the mental game with Thor, and he’s already calling me a bully. He better get a grip of himself as it’s going to get a lot worse.”
