UFC 269 will be taking place on Saturday December 11th from a venue that has yet to be announced, but what will the main event be?

The company is reportedly working on a major clash to Main Event the show, with a stacked undercard for the last numbered UFC event of 2021.

What Is The Main Event of UFC 269

Although not officially confirmed by Dana White or the UFC, Dustin Poirier will be taking to the Octagon to face 155-pound Champion, Charles Oliveira.

This will be Poirier’s third fight of 2021, after defeating Conor McGregor in January and June, with the first fight ending via TKO and the second finishing via doctor stoppage when McGregor could not continue due to a fracture.

Despite Poirier going 2-1 over Notorious, he added that the Irish fighter is the ‘biggest puncher’ he has ever faced. Speaking to Patrick Bet-David and Valuetainment, he said: “Conor McGregor [packs the heaviest punch], no doubt about it.

“As the biggest puncher I've fought? Yeah, he's a special individual for sure. Fought him in 2014, lost, and that was on his, you know when his trajectory was sky is the limit. He was on his way up and he tore through everybody, became a two-weight champion.”
