Karrion Kross has revealed his thoughts on his new ring gear in WWE!

Kross was confirmed to be remaining on Monday Night Raw during the recent draft and he has been picking up some wins on the red brand of late.

Indeed, the former NXT Champion may have debuted with a loss to Jeff Hardy but he has since beaten the Charismatic Enigma and is now on a run of victories, defeating Ricochet, Humberto Carrillo, John Morrison and Jaxson Ryker on Raw.

None of those matches have gone over five minutes, with the dominant Kross making quick work of his opponents.

His presentation since his NXT days has changed too, with Kross now wearing a mask to the ring, as well as straps over his torso.

And Kross has now revealed where the idea for his new look came from, with his opponents meant to be changed by coming into contact with Kross.

Speaking on the Table Talk podcast, as transcribed by Comicbook.com, Kross was asked who came up with the idea for the mask and replied:

"I'm not entirely sure at this point. I had received a briefing about, I guess it was a creative team conversation, a series of people attempting to expand on the original concept that was presented during NXT.

"I guess it was a team of people. The direction I think they were attempting to go in was essentially a gladiator idea. I had introduced the lower body gear at NXT when I competed against Finn Balor to get the title back."

And Kross has also revealed that the entire presentational change was his idea, with people then making suggestions as to how they could make him look dangerous on Raw.

He added:

"My original concept was like, this feels like what the coliseum days would be like. We're in a circular area with people around. With the character presentation of Karrion Kross and the development, this wasn't just a regular match people were getting into.

"Win or lose, you might not be coming out the same way. I was attempting to project that sort of energy into it. What they wanted to do when I was coming up was play off of that. That's where we're at with it."
