Tyson Fury's sparring partner Jared Anderson has responded to claims that he knocked out The Gypsy King in sparring ahead of his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder.

Fury, 33, drafted in Anderson as his main sparring partner for his fight against Wilder this weekend.

Bomb Squad member Tay Jones claims to have spoken to a source close to Fury's camp and was assured that Anderson did indeed knock out the current WBC titleholder, who is undefeated in his 31-fight professional career.

“Just got confirmation that Tyson Fury was indeed knocked out cold in sparring with Jared Anderson from top guys from around him," Jones said, via World Boxing News.

“I’ve been telling people this really happened.”

But Jones' astonishing claims have been shut down by none other than Anderson himself, who insists that couldn't be any further from the truth.

When asked if the rumours were true, Anderson replied via Fight Hub TV: "We can cancel all that, never happened, none of that.

"I didn't want to speak out on it before, make anything worse than what it was.

"I know how fans can get real [sic] reckless online so I left it alone."

It had been suggested that 'The Gypsy King' got dropped badly and possibly wiped out by 'Big Baby', and Anderson added: "But just to clear up anything, no, there was no knockdown, no knockout in training camp.

"A lot of hard work went into it, so thank you for that."

Anderson, 21, will return to the ring on October 9 on the undercard of Fury's trilogy fight against Wilder at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The American is 9-0 after his latest success against Jeremiah Karpency at the Osage Casino in Oklahoma at the start of April.

Anderson has won his first nine professional fights by knockout, all but four of them coming in the first round.

Asked to predict the outcome of the fight, Anderson told Behind The Gloves: "I'm biased, so, I mean y'all [sic] got to understand that, I'm going with Tyson of course.

"Personally I think seven rounds, in seven rounds he'll get the stoppage.

"You'll see Saturday night, won't you?"
