Tyson Fury WWE: Boxing star threw devastating punch at Braun Strowman in wrestling debut

Tyson Fury threw devastating punch at Braun Strowman in WWE debut

Tyson Fury is certainly no stranger to the boxing ring, but did you remember that the 33-year-old is also undefeated in wrestling too?

Tyson Fury showed up in WWE on the debut episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX on October 4, 2019, having a brief face-to-face with Braun Strowman.

Fury then appeared on various WWE TV shows over the next few days, culminating with a match against Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 31.

Tyson Fury ended up picking up the win via count-out after hitting a devastating punch onto Strowman, who was subsequently unable to make it back into the ring to beat the referee’s count.

The match went a lot longer than many people expected it to. Many expected the bout to last a matter of seconds, but WWE opted for Fury and Strowman’s match to last over eight minutes.

That wasn’t Fury’s last appearance in a WWE ring, as the following week, the undefeated boxer showed up on Friday Night SmackDown once again, this time to aid Braun Strowman.

With WWE heading to Manchester as part of its tour of the UK, Fury and Strowman joined forced to beat down The B-Team (Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas) for a feel-good moment for the UK crowd.

Tyson Fury hasn’t worked with WWE since his appearance on the November 9 episode of SmackDown in 2019, but the door does seem open for him to return in the future.

Tyson has been focused on his boxing commitments, preparing for a third showdown tomorrow night with Deontay Wilder at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
