Inter Milan are weighing up a January move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey according to reports in Italy.

Corriere Della Sport have identified Ramsey as a player that Claudio Ranieri wants to bring to the San Siro, with the Serie A side prepared to pay €20million for his signature.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be determined not to lose another of his brightest young talents, but if Ramsey seeks a move away from the Emirates Stadium, the frugal Frenchman may try to engineer a deal that includes a part-exchange deal involving Ricardo Alvarez.

Arsenal tried to sign the Argentine international in the summer, only for Alvarez to choose Inter over a move to north London - but the player has since admitted he is finding it hard to adapt to life in Italy having made only three appearances for the Nerazzurri this year.

If the Gunners do decide to sell, they stand to make a considerable profit on the £4.8million they paid Cardiff City for Ramsey three years ago, having nurtured him and excelled his development under the stewardship of Wenger.

The cash generated from his sale would also give the club additional funds to add a marquee signing of their own in January - a signing that Arsenal fans so desperately crave, as they look to get their fledgling campaign back on track.
