The Premier League is revered by many as the greatest division in world football.
With Chelsea and Manchester City having contested the most recent Champions League final, the second all-English affair in three years, the Premier League really is making a statement right now.
In fact, the league's supremacy couldn't have been clearer than when France Football revealed that 14 of the 30 male nominees for the 2021 Ballon d'Or hailed from England's top-flight.
The Premier League boom
Marry that to Cristiano Ronaldo having joined Manchester United as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid suffering more than ever and it's starting to feel like English football is the place to be.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the stock of so many Premier League stars has been rising over 2021 with world football opening their eyes to some of the talent across the division.
Of course, every scout and their dog has long been aware of the talent of players like Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne, but it's great to see the likes of Declan Rice and Mason Mount starting to get more recognition worldwide.

England players are flying
One thing that is immediately noticeable from the results is the prevalence of England players.
While, yes, it's long been a cliché that English stars go for inflated transfer fees, one can't help wondering if the Three Lions' relative success at Euro 2020 has owed to many of these increases.
Then again, in the case of Grealish, it might quite simply be down to the fact that moving from Aston Villa to Manchester City for a record fee really put his talent in the shop window more than ever.
Elsewhere, it's great to see young players like Smith Rowe, Saka, Gill and Guehi see their stock rising in 2021, while Kayky's value has shot up despite not having actually played for City hitherto.
All in all, though, it goes to show that the Premier League is booming more than ever and not only are the transfer values rising, but so too is the division's place amongst the European elite.
