Tyson Fury has received support from a number of big names ahead of this weekend’s world heavyweight title fight against Deontay Wilder including enigmatic AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Gypsy King goes head-to-head with the Bronze Bomber in Las Vegas tonight in what will be their third heavyweight showdown, with Fury defending his title after victory in February last year.

Following an argument before their press conference earlier this week the traditional pre-fight stare down was scrapped.

Regardless, both fighters weighed in at their career-heaviest, with Fury tipping the scales at 19st 11lbs (277lbs) and Wilder coming in at 17st (238lbs), amping up the excitement levels ahead of what looks set to be a memorable bout.

Asked about the extra weight, Fury said it would lead to the “total obliteration of a dosser”, while Wilder claimed that he’d gained weight to help him deal with Fury’s superior size.

"I think Tyson won't just beat him again - he's a much better boxer than Wilder and he'll school him".

Fury also received a video message from Ibrahimovic, who asked his friend to put on a show while winning the fight. In the message, posted on social media, Zlatan said:

"Tyson Fury my friend, what's up? I hope you are well. I hope the camp went well. I hope your family is well. I hope everything is like it should be.

“I want to wish you big luck, even if you don't need it. You are on that level. Keep making history. People admire you.

You're an inspiration for everybody, so keep doing what you are doing, keep being yourself, that is most important. And do me a favour, just go out there and dance in the ring and do what you have to do.

"Take the belt home and keep going. Keep striving, keep pushing. I wish you all the best. Take care and I'll be watching, so make me enjoy.”

Responding to the message, Fury exuded confidence, saying, "Lions eat first @Ibra_official, thank you Zlatan!"

The Swedish striker is a big boxing fan who has been to a number of fights over the years, while Manchester United supporter Fury is an admirer of Ibrahimovic due to his time spent playing at the club.
