For many, Neymar took the easy route when he joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2017 for a world-record £198m. Indeed, suggestions that the Brazilian enjoys the superstar treatment in the French capital have always been prevalent and, while they may be true to some extent, the overall quality of the league has been brought into question. What cannot be doubted, however, is his quality in the Champions League. Sure, he's yet to win the most coveted prize in the game with PSG and, yes, his league form might not always be what one would expect from such a costly addition but the Champions League is decided on fine margins. Neymar was, after all, influential in their run to the final in the summer of 2020 and has scored 20 times in 30 UCL starts since moving to the club, while also recording a further 11 assists. So then, perhaps some more respect should be given to him on that front. Things may not have worked out just yet but, flanked by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, few would doubt they have a great chance of winning it this year. To celebrate Neymar's brilliance in Europe, @JMNDComps on Twitter have put together a compilation of some of his best bits for both PSG and Barca. You can watch the video below.

As you can see, the quality of his overall play, teasing the opposition with his ridiculous close control is equally as impressive as his goals and assists. Many might think of the Brazilian as a selfish player but, frankly, that couldn't be further from the case on this evidence.

"Most talented footballer born in the 90s," claimed @ThatoNinja.

"The disrespect he gets is disgusting," said Money Mitch.

"When will football produce another entertainer like this?" asked @zdonov4.

Perhaps it's time we started more respect on Neymar's name.
