While there are many (and far more serious) concerns about Newcastle United's Saudi Arabian takeover, there could be well be a feeling that the club have sold their soul. Now, supporters will (rightly) point to the fact that this once proud institution of English football lost that very intangible quality of a 'soul' during the Mike Ashley era but, such is the nature of modern football, new fans will flock to a club who could feasibly not resemble anything of their former selves in a few years. For some, that will be a good thing, particularly after the Ashley era. For others, the glory days pre-war or the thoroughly entertaining team of the mid-1990s who almost won the title under Kevin Keegan will always be a true reflection of Newcastle United. Indeed, this is a club responsible for some of the most memorable moments in Premier League history. One of those came when Temuri Ketsbaia scored a late winner against Bolton Wanderers at St James' Park in 1998. The former midfielder wasn't exactly a regular in the side at the time and, after a dramatic goal in the final minute of the game, took his frustration out on the advertising hoardings around the pitch. You can watch the video below.

Clearly, he was not happy in the slightest. In fact, it's hard to remember an angrier goal celebration ever caught on camera.

Speaking to The Chronicle in 2019, the Georgian revealed: "It was because I felt disappointed about selection.

"So when I scored a goal that day all of it came out.

"It's something that I would never like to see again.

"To be honest, I have never looked back at that goal on TV or anything.

"Even when it happened, I couldn't look.

"It was something I didn't really want to do but I was so disappointed not to play.

"The emotion just came out.

"Alan Shearer requested to the crowd to return my shirt because there was still time left.

"I need it back and we got it back, finished the game and won!"

What a day on Tyneside.
