Express and Star journalist Luke Hatfield has described reported Aston Villa transfer target Eddie Nketiah as a similar player to Danny Ings.
However, Hatfield warned that there is one key difference between the two - Ings is well established at Premier League level, whereas Nketiah is yet to truly prove himself.

With his Arsenal contract due to expire at the end of the season, Nketiah was linked with an exit from the north London club during the summer.
Crystal Palace were keen on signing the young forward but couldn't agree on a fee with the Gunners, and he ended up staying at the Emirates.
However, Nketiah is now being tipped for a move once again, with journalist Ekrem Konur claiming on Twitter that the 22-year-old intends to leave in the next transfer window.
Aston Villa are said to be one of the clubs 'in the queue' to sign Nketiah, along with Leeds and Brentford.
What has Luke Hatfield said about Nketiah joining Aston Villa?
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Hatfield likened Nketiah to a current Villa star in Ings, but warned that there's still a significant disparity in the track record between the two strikers.
He said: "They’re definitely similar players in the type of player they are. I don’t think Villa will be seeing anyone as a replacement for anyone at this stage, particularly not for a player they’ve signed just over the summer.
"But Nketiah and Ings are similar players. Obviously Nketiah is much younger and the one thing with Danny Ings is that he’s much more proven at this level. Nketiah probably hasn’t done it at the highest stage yet."

Transfermarkt value the Lewisham-born attacker at £10.8m, although The Athletic claimed in the summer that Arsenal initially wanted £20m for Nketiah, before reducing their asking price to £15m.
That being said, there is a chance they could be forced to sell the youngster for even less than his apparent £10.8m market worth in the next transfer window.
Nketiah's contract will enter its final six months at that point and he'd be allowed to discuss a pre-contract with foreign clubs in January ahead of a free transfer next summer.
Arsenal may end up in a situation where they'll be forced to accept any offer that is likely to surpass what they'd receive in compensation for Nketiah moving on.
Clubs can claim compensation for academy products who leave on free transfers to other English clubs before the age of 24. This can either be agreed between the two parties involved or decided by an independent commission.
