While he has constantly stressed his assertion that he wasn't given the job because he is David Beckham's close friend, Inter Miami's recent form should ask serious questions of Phil Neville's ability to coach the club.
After infamously saying his team had '23 cup finals' to go as far back as July after a miserable start to the season, the former England Women's coach has overseen another awful losing streak.
Indeed, the expensively assembled side boasting the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi lost their sixth match in a row away at New York Red Bulls and are now eight points behind Montreal Impact in the final play-off spot in the Eastern Conference.
Neville, who may have a point, pointed to close calls going against his side over the losing run and Higuain's disallowed equaliser in the Big Apple only seemed to anger him further.
Speaking to the media after the loss, Neville promised to go 'full barrel' in his review of the decisions.
That he did.
Launching into a rant that bordered on straight-up conspiracy theories, the former Everton captain lamented how the club were treated by officials across the country.

"I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but something is fundamentally wrong with the way referees treat Inter Miami," he said.
"We’re playing in one of the best leagues in the world, and I’m having a great experience, but I’ve got a dressing room that’s asking real, real questions about the integrity of this league in terms of the decisions we keep getting.
"We’ve had our integrity questioned this year.
"We got stones thrown at us and had to take a lot of **** and when you do wrong you accept it.
"I hope I don’t come across as a bad loser. Congratulations to New York Red Bulls.
"But I’m sick and tired of receiving emails on Mondays saying: ‘Sorry, the calls could have gone the other way.'"
The pressure certainly seems to be getting to him.
