Journalist Emmet Gates, who covers the Reds for Liverpool.com, reckons that Mohamed Salah is underrated by people outside of the club.
The Egyptian, valued at £90m by Transfermarkt, is enjoying another brilliant season at Anfield and is the joint top goalscorer in the Premier League having scored six goals in seven outings.

Despite scoring 44 times in his debut season for Liverpool, Salah is perhaps playing better than ever right now and could come close to matching that remarkable figure if he keeps up his recent goalscoring exploits.
Salah's wonderful solo effort against Manchester City on Sunday took his tally for the campaign across all competitions to nine goals in as many matches and was his 134th in total for the Merseyside giants, leaving him seventh on their all-time scoring list.
Salah's exploits have already engraved his name into Liverpool folklore, although at just 29-years-old, the former Chelsea man would appear far from done yet.
Despite helping the Reds to both Champions League and Premier League glory, whilst claiming several individual accolades on his way, Gates reckons that the Egypt international is still underrated by the wider public.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I would say Liverpool fans rate him. But I generally think in terms of a worldwide audience, he's probably underrated."
Why is Salah underrated?
There's simply no reason for Salah not to be considered amongst the best in the world anymore.
At present, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi not exactly firing on all cylinders following their respective moves to Manchester United and PSG, the Liverpool forward has a case to be called the best player on the planet right now, although Robert Lewandowski might have something to say about that.
He's almost been single-handedly carrying Liverpool at times during the last 12 months and has continued to score goals even when his performances have dropped off. Maybe some supporters outside of Liverpool simply take the great man for granted and are therefore no longer surprised by his numbers.
If that's the case, then kudos to Salah, who's in fact at such a level where he's now normalised scoring 30 goals a season as a winger.
