West Brom have high hopes for teenage striker Tyler Cleary, according to The Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield.
The 17-year-old is flying at youth team level at the moment, and has even been linked with a major European club.
What's the latest news involving Cleary?
Cleary had an impressive campaign last year for West Brom's Under-18s, netting eight goals in 15 league appearances. He has taken his game to a new level altogether this season, though.
In his opening four league games of 2021/22, he bagged four successive braces, including against Tottenham Under-18s last weekend.
Other clubs are starting to sit up and take notice of the talented forward, with it being reported recently that Borussia Dortmund are monitoring the youngster.
What has Hatfield said about Cleary?
Hatfield has claimed that West Brom like what they've seen from Cleary so far, and feels that Dortmund being linked with the attacker indicates that he has a bright future ahead of him.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT about Cleary, Hatfield said: “By the sounds coming out of the club, they rate him highly. He looks like a player who knows where the back of the net is at youth level. We’ll see how he develops, of course, because plenty of youngsters shine at that level, and maybe don’t kick on to the first-team setup and manage to do that.
“But we’ll see what happens with him. It can only be a good sign that clubs are interested and are being linked with him.”

Could another English talent be about to shine at Dortmund?
Cleary could be the next prodigious talent to try his luck in Germany. Moving to the Bundesliga has worked out well for a couple of other English players recently.
Jadon Sancho took the gamble of leaving Manchester City as a 17-year-old to join Dortmund. He would go on and flourish at the club during his four-year stay, directly contributing to 114 goals in 137 appearances before returning to the Premier League with Manchester United in the summer.
Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham is currently going from strength to strength at Dortmund, and has now established himself as a first-team regular, while also gaining international recognition over the past 12 months.
Sancho and Bellingham have shown that it is possible to thrive in a new country as a young footballer, and Cleary may fancy his chances of following in their footsteps at Dortmund in the not-too-distant future.
