WWE was planning on breaking up AJ Styles and Omos in the WWE Draft, but were convinced not to by a seemingly influential member of the Monday Night Raw roster.

WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE seriously considered breaking up the AJ Styles and Omos tag team in the WWE Draft, so much so that it was even the plan at some point.

However, the reliable Twitter source notes that a member of the Monday Night Raw, convinced higher-ups to change their minds and keep the former Raw Tag Team Champions together.

The unnamed member Raw star who campground for the pair to remain together reportedly argued that Omos was not ready for a singles run, which higher-ups seemingly came to agree with.

Both AJ Styles and Omos remained on Monday Night Raw in the WWE Draft, setting up feuds with the likes of Street Profits who moved over to the red brand from Friday Night SmackDown.

There is no word on what WWE is planning for Omos and AJ Styles over the coming weeks, but it's always possible that WWE has them split up on the same brand over the next few months.
