WWE Raw results: Popular tag team breaks up as Drew McIntyre lays out Big E

WWE Raw

WWE headed to Chase Center in San Francisco, California for another stacked episode of Monday Night Raw last night, with just ten days until WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

Not only did Becky Lynch team with Charlotte Flair to take on Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, but the final two matches from both the King of the Ring and Queen's Crown tournaments also took place on the show.

Xavier Woods def. Ricochet to advance to the Semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament

The Raw portion of the King of the Ring tournament got underway with The New Day’s Xavier Woods taking on Ricochet. Woods’ eagerness to become WWE’s next king prevailed, as he delivered a huge Diving Elbow Drop to Ricochet and earned the win to advance to the tournament’s semifinals after a thriller of a match.

Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin def. Mansoor & Mustafa Ali

Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin were perhaps out to impress Bobby Lashley as they brought the fight to Mansoor & Mustafa Ali. Alexander connected with a thunderous Michinoku Driver on Ali to pick up the victory for the former Hurt Business members, leading a frustrated Ali to shove Mansoor down to the mat after the match.

Shayna Baszler def. Dana Brooke to advance to the Semifinals of the Queen’s Crown Tournament

Dana Brooke was fired up to receive another opportunity against Shayna Baszler in the first round of the Queen’s Crown tournament, but The Queen of Spades proved to be too much.

Baszler scored the pinfall victory after a swift knee to the face to advance to the Semifinals and aimed to do more damage after the bout, until the referee was able to get her to back away.

Omos def. Raw Tag Team Champion Riddle

Riddle made an interesting choice by challenging the colossal Omos to a one-on-one matchup, and it became evident to The Original Bro that it was the wrong decision when he realized Randy Orton did not have a master plan this time around.

Omos made quick work of Riddle as AJ Styles shouted out some pointers, claiming victory after a devastating roundhouse kick and massive two-handed chokeslam, but The Viper and his partner got the last laugh as Orton hit another quick RKO on The Phenomenal One after the match.

Bobby Lashley claimed Goldberg doesn’t stand a chance at WWE Crown Jewel

A week after being on the receiving end of some seriously scathing words from the iconic Goldberg, “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley issued a not-so-subtle response.

The former WWE Champion explained that he needs there to be No Holds Barred in the match at WWE Crown Jewel so that Lashley will not be contained by any rules and can make sure to end Goldberg’s career once and for all.

Austin Theory def. Jeff Hardy

Monday Night Raw newcomer Austin Theory set out to prove himself even further at Jeff Hardy’s expense after tricking Hardy into a vicious attack last week.

During this bout, Akira Tozawa, Drew Gulak, Drake Maverick and R-Truth came running down to the ring in hot pursuit of 24/7 Champion Reggie, and an initially irate Theory was able to shrug off the distraction and avoid the Swanton Bomb for the rollup victory over The Charismatic Enigma.

Jinder Mahal def. Kofi Kingston to advance to the Semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament

A Semifinals matchup between New Day brothers was not meant to be as Jinder Mahal advanced in the King of the Ring tournament with a win over Kofi Kingston.

After the mighty Veer took Xavier Woods out of commission at ringside, The Modern Day Maharajah capitalized and defeated Kingston courtesy of the dreaded Khallas.

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair & Sasha Banks ended in a no-contest

Before this battle could get underway, tensions boiled over as both teams argued about which participants should start the match. Charlotte Flair took it all in for a moment while WWE Crown Jewel opponents Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks slugged it out.

Charlotte joined the fray, leading WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to arrive and gain control of the situation.

When the match finally started, chaos erupted once again soon after, and as all four women brawled, Big-Time Becks gained the upper hand and dropped The Boss with her patented Manhandle Slam.

Doudrop def. Natalya to advance to the Semifinals of the Queen’s Crown tournament

Doudrop went toe-to-toe with The Queen of Harts to determine who would face Shayna Baszler in the Semifinals of the Queen’s Crown Tournament, and Doudrop silenced any doubters when she impressively countered Natalya’s Sharpshooter and rolled her up for the pinfall and biggest victory of her career.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos def. WWE Big E and Drew McIntyre by countout

WWE Champion Big E and Drew McIntyre struggled to be on the same page in the first place, especially after The Usos attempted to force further dissension throughout the night.

Things culminated in this tag team slugfest when Big E and The Scottish Warrior had some major miscommunications, leading tempers to flare and the WWE Crown Jewel opponents to come to blows and get themselves counted out in the process.

After briefly shifting their attention back toward The Usos on the outside of the ring, the WWE Champion and McIntyre resumed their brawl, resulting in a destructive Claymore by The Scottish Warrior on the road to WWE Crown Jewel.
