Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3: Mike Tyson takes to Twitter to lavish praise on the pair

Tyson Fury once again proved his resounding credentials last weekend as he knocked Deontay Wilder out in Nevada.

The pair of fierce rivals came to blows for the third time with Fury well and truly putting the debate to bed.

However, it wasn’t as one sided an affair as many had anticipated, with Wilder more than living up to his bill as one of the most devastating punchers to have ever lived.

Fury was sent sprawling to the canvas on two occasions as Wilder came out fighting in a desperate bid to exact revenge for his humbling in the second fight.

Fury though, who suddenly found himself in the midst of a truly bruising battle, roused himself and began to exert his dominance on the occasion.

He began to pick a tiring Wilder apart before, in the 11th round, he landed a monstrous right hook that saw Wilder go down for the count.

It was yet another masterclass in heavyweight boxing from one of the best to ever swing a fist , especially when you consider how much pressure Wilder piled on in the early rounds.

It was easily one of the best fights we have seen in years – sentiments echoed by a former heavyweight great.

Unsurprisingly, the one and only Mike Tyson was keeping a close eye on the fight, and, taking to Twitter, he has finally given his thoughts on what went down.

Tyson lavished praise on both combatants, claiming that the pair had both done enough to be granted status as an ‘all-time great’.

The next step for both fighters remains unclear.

Wilder’s trainer has come out and said that the Bronze Bomber has no plans to retire while a fight with fellow Brit Dillian Whyte could be the next point of call for the Gypsy King.

Whomever they fight, Saturday’s night’s blockbuster clash once again proved why the heavyweight division is the undisputed favourite.

We can only hope to see many more fights of that ilk in future.
