Paul Brown reckons that Harry Kane's chance to leave Tottenham might have gone.
The Daily Mirror journalist thinks that any club are going to struggle to meet Daniel Levy's massive asking-price for the England striker.
What happened with Kane this summer?
Following his interview back in May with Gary Neville in which Kane hinted that he wanted to leave his boyhood club this summer, it looked like the striker had played his last game for Spurs.
Kane's desire to move on became even more apparent when he was absent for training after his delayed return from the European Championships, which resulted in him being left out of the side that beat Manchester City on the opening day.
However, with the clock ticking towards the August deadline, it became apparent that Kane might well end up staying at Tottenham.
He would make his first appearance of the season at Wolves in late-August and then revealed on social media that he'd be staying at the club, bringing an end to a summer of speculation and uncertainty for both club and player.
Kane will be 29 next summer and will have just two years remaining on his Tottenham deal, which Brown thinks will scupper his chances of departing.

When asked his thoughts on Kane's short-term future, he told GIVEMESPORT: "I think there are problems now for Kane getting out.
"Has he missed his window? You look at City and they've had games where they've struggled to score, but they did play the whole of last season with Jesus as their only recognised striker, Aguero was injured. How do Spurs get the money they want for Kane now?
"He'll be a year older next summer. Who would pay the sort of money that Levy wants when they didn't do it in this window?"
Could Kane leave in January?
January is generally a quiet window for teams that don't have injury problems and aren't in a relegation battle.
That former could be the case for City, although unlikely with their squad depth, but even then, you'd be surprised to see Pep Guardiola's men fork out big money for a player that is currently playing nowhere the top of his game.
Kane could still sign for City in the future, but as Brown mentioned, it's highly unlikely that will happen in January.
