Journalist Paul Brown has questioned Marcel Brands' decision to sign Moise Kean.
At just 19-years-old and with less than 20 senior goals to his name, Everton forked out £25.1m for the Italian striker when they signed him from Juventus in the summer of 2019.
How did Kean perform at Everton?
Kean's Toffees career isn't over just yet, with his summer move back to Juventus a two-year loan deal.
However, following a mere four goals in 39 appearances since his arrival, it wouldn't be audacious to suggest that he's played his final game for Everton.
Kean showed his true quality when scoring 17 times on loan at PSG last season, but his time in Merseyside simply hasn't worked out. Of those four goals, only two came in the Premier League, with the other two coming in the Carabao Cup against EFL opposition Fleetwood and Salford respectively.
It hasn't been an easy ride for Kean, though, having to compete with both Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin for a starting berth, which proved a difficult task and something he managed in the league just six times.
According to Transfermarkt, Kean is Everton's ninth most expensive signing in their history and Brown has questioned the transfer.

What did Brown say?
He told GIVEMESPORT: "You can criticise him for the Moise Kean transfer, although at the time everyone was praising that because it looked like a great coup for Everton to get this guy.
"It hasn't worked, but how much of that is Marcel Brands' fault, how much of that is the club, the manager that Moise Kean worked under and how much of that is the player's fault is up for debate."
Where did it go wrong for Kean?
It's difficult to pinpoint one factor as to why it didn't work out for Kean on Merseyside. But in short, he wasn't given enough opportunities to impress.
In his first season alone, he played just 834 minutes in the Premier League, which isn't enough for a teenager trying to prove himself in a new league.
He was signed by Marco Silva, but he was sacked four months later and including Duncan Ferguson's short reign as interim coach, he played under four managers, which didn't help his case to try and settle down in England.
One incident perhaps summed up Kean's time at Everton when he was subbed off just 18 minutes after his introduction by Ferguson against Manchester United, although the Toffees legend revealed later that it was 'nothing personal' despite the striker's angry reaction.
