Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has celebrated Arsenal’s win on Twitter, with the Barcelona star reserving special praise for Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott as they defeated Chelsea 5-3.

The Gunners have taken some time to recover after Fabregas departing the club in the summer, and while they had their worst start to the season in over 50 years, on Saturday Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott showed they can still be counted in contention for trophies.

And as Arsenal scored goal after goal in the meeting with Chelsea, which concentrated on attacking football, Fabregas tweeted in favour of the Gunners.

“Theooooooooooooooooo,”Fabregas said as Walcott scored.

“Crazy game, great victory. Very well deserved. RVP!!!!” he said after the match.

While some have branded Fabregas a traitor for leaving Arsenal, many fans are more forgiving of the playmaker, who has continually insisted that he has very close affiliations to all involved at Arsenal.
