Football Manager 2022 is on its way and we have a list of the five biggest challenges for you to try.

The wildly successful football management sim will be out on November 9th and there are several ways that you can spice up your game with various challenges.

Now, you could decide to go with your favourite club, or be a glory hunter and pick a team like Manchester City, PSG or, perhaps, Newcastle United.

But we’re not here for that; we’re here for the biggest challenges you can take on, the saves that take weeks, if not months, of your life, as you try to restore a club to their former glories.

Let’s dig into the five biggest challenges in the game.

Top 5 Hardest Challenges On Football Manager 2022

Giving yourself a challenge on FM22 is the best way to improve! Here are the five toughest challenges for you to try...

SOUTHEND UNITED

Let’s start off with one for the hardcore Football Manager players out there.

Southend is in dire trouble. Relegated from League Two at the end of last season, they are currently playing in the Vanarama National League, where they’re struggling.

Southend has only won two games this season and recently sacked real life manager Phil Brown.

So, have you got what it takes to go into a club with, checks notes, absolutely no money, and gel a squad that has seen no fewer than 10 new players arrive, and 15 leave?

It’s a massive challenge, and the real test is not just to get back into the Football League but to keep rising, and potentially even reach the Premier League.

DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA

Fans of a certain age might remember Deportivo taking on Manchester United in the Champions League back in the early 2000s. That was a long time ago.

The Spanish side is now in the third tier of Spanish football, having been relegated from La Liga in 2017/18, and then falling through the trapdoor in the Segunda Division in 2019/20.

They finished fourth last season but it would be a huge ask to take them back through the divisions and back into Europe. Wouldn’t it?

BRENTFORD

Brentford players celebrate after last-minute winner against West Ham

This one doesn’t need too much explaining, as Brentford have been bloodying the noses of the big boys since their promotion, beating Arsenal and drawing with Liverpool.

But they have a very strict transfer policy that relies on buying cheap gems, polishing them up, selling them on for top dollar, and again and again and again.

Can you do that, while keeping them competitive in the Premier League and qualifying for Europe?

FLUMINESE

Fluminese is a huge club in Brazil but their season is out of sync with Europe, meaning you could see a brilliant wonderkid break-through, and then be snatched away by a club like Manchester United.

Can you keep the club’s gems together, and win their first Brazilian title since 2012, all the while polishing up more gems from the youth academy?

It sounds like a recipe for success for any wonderkid hunters out there!

PARIS FC

This one’s a bit of fun but this year, it looks nigh-on impossible.

The challenge is simple: Take Paris FC out of Ligue 2, into Ligue 1, and make them just as dominant as their city rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s the PSG with Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi. You have very little money.

Good luck.
