Ahead of the UEFA Women’s Champions League match between Chelsea and Juventus, GiveMeSport Women pick out five players to watch in Turin.Chelsea, last years runner-up, are looking for their first win following a 3-3 draw against Wolfsburg last time out. Meanwhile, Juventus beat Servette 5-0 in game week one and currently sit top of Group A.

Chelsea - Pernille Harder

After a draw in game week one, Chelsea need a win tonight - and Harder, with all her quality and experience, will be expected to be the difference.

That, of course, is why Emma Hayes made her the most expensive signing in the history of women's football back in 2020.

Now, Harder is repaying that investment.

The 28-year-old salvaged a point for the Blues with a last gasp equaliser against her former club Wolfsburg. She then broke the deadlock against a stubborn Leicester City in the Women’s Super League last weekend.

Against Juventus, she will have plenty of chances to find herself on the scoresheet once more.

Juventus - Arianna Caruso

Goals have become a regularity for Caruso, who, including qualifying, has netted four goals in this season’s Champions League.

The 21-year-old was rightly named Player of the Match after she grabbed the opener in Juventus’ 3-0 win over Servette.

The Italian-capped midfielder will be a challenge for Chelsea’s back three, if and when she is able to break forward.

Chelsea - Sam Kerr

After being left out of the starting line-up against Leicester, Chelsea’s superstar was introduced after just 45 minutes with Emma Hayes turning to the Australian after a drab first-half performance.

Kerr has that quality - her lob against Wolfsburg was voted matchday one goal of the week - and last season's WSL top scorer will most likely find herself on the scoresheet tonight.

Juventus - Lina Hurtig

Hurtig has Champions League experience having reached the quarter-finals with Swedish side Linköpings in 2018.

In game week one, the Swedish International netted her fourth goal of the Champions League - her third in her last four European outings.

Even though Chelsea are a far greater test than Servette - the talented striker has the quality to spoil the party if given the chance.

Chelsea - Millie Bright

In a game the Blues are expected to dominate it seems odd to pick out a defender, but stick with us.

Not only will Bright be key to breaking up Juventus counterattacks, but her aerial quality will also be of use at the other end, especially from set-pieces.

Yes, Bright is not known for her goal scoring, but the Chelsea defender scored her first and second international goals in England’s 10-0 win over Luxembourg in September.

Could she get on the scoresheet tonight? It’s a stretch, but yes...why not?
