Gotham Knights is an upcoming action RPG based on the DC Comics star Batman and characters in his universe and we have everything you need to know about the game.
The game is currently being developed by WB Games Montreal and will be published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.
Here’s everything that you need to know about Gotham Knights, including the release date, platforms it will be released on and the characters that will be appearing.
Gotham Knights does not currently have an official launch date, however the game is expected to be released in 2022.
The game was originally meant to release in 2021, however was delayed as the developers wanted to give the title “more time to deliver the best possible experience for players”.
More information on the release date is expected to be confirmed at the DC Fandome on Saturday, October 16th 2021. The official box art for the game will also be released at the show, and it is anticipated that we will be getting a confirmed release date as well.
Gotham Knights is expected to be released on Playstation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
No further information has been confirmed at this point, with cross-progression, new-gen exclusives and cross-play hopefully being laid out in detail at the aforementioned DC Fandome.
Four playable characters have been confirmed for the game: Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood.
Each playable character will have their own unique playstyle and abilities in the game, such as Robin being able to teleport via the Justice League's satellite as revealed at the DC Fandome back in June 2021.
It has not been confirmed if there will be any DLC content for the game or whether players will be able to use Batman himself in the game. This is unlikely, as the game is set following the death of Bruce Wayne, but fan-made mods for PC may mean that the Dark Knight could be used as an in-game skin.
The new game can be played solo, but will also feature a two-player co-op multiplayer mode, meaning that the second player can drop in and out without affecting the overall progression negatively.
