Khabib Nurmagomedov, a man of which embodies the sport of UFC, often manages to amaze an audience and especially a live crowd.

He managed to go through his career without losing a single fight, beating big names along the way, such as Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

He is a true sportsman, with him having previous background experience in sambo, judo and wrestling, formulating substantial amounts of discipline along the way.

Khabib has often been put in the bracket of being amongst the greats of the sport, and that is no surprise, but there are some which don’t express similar thoughts, as Benson Henderson a former lightweight champion mentions.

Along with being put amongst the greats, there are those which dwell upon the fights that never came about; it’s like considering prime Barcelona playing the current PSG side, no one knows the outcome, but many would know that it would be an astounding game.

But in the case of UFC, it relates to Khabib against Tony Ferguson, which could have contrastingly taken place five times. Struggling to make weight, pre-fight injuries and a global pandemic prevented the dream fight from ever taking place, much to the annoyance of UFC fans all around the world.

Dustin Poirier, however, a man who also embodies the sport of UFC, doesn’t hold back from praise for the Russian, mentioning how he ‘was simply levels ahead of him’ during their fight.

This is shown in a recent image that has emerged of the Russian, highlighting how he has less scars after fighting tougher opposition.

This could be for one of many reasons, maybe it is that he focuses and puts more thought and research into his higher up opponents, ensuring that he can defend their key shots, and with his lesser opponents it’s just primarily winning and that’s all.

Ultimately, it’s more common that a fight against Poirier will bring in more interest than a fight for instance against Al Iaquinta, because Poirier is known to bring in more traffic, more interest and more money, so to walk out unscarred is a big statement.
