WrestleMania XXX on April 6, 2014 was a fantastic show, capped off by the genuinely emotional moment of Daniel Bryan becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The main show opened not with a match, but with an in-ring segment with Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock.

The segment is notable for a few reasons mainly because Hulk Hogan accidentally called the venue of the show the Silverdome, as opposed to the Superdome.

Speaking of Hogan, since the event in 2014, the former WWE Champion has been removed and subsequently reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. He still occasionally appears on WWE TV for special shows.

Similarly with Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin also sporadically appears on WWE TV for big shows. Since WrestleMania XXX, Austin has hosted several non-wrestling shows, including his own Steve Austin's Broken Skull Challenge

The Rock is the only man in the segment to have wrestled since 2014, working a short match with Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32.

Since the event in April 2014, The Rock has been involved in several movies, including Moana, various Fast and Furious films, and Baywatch. He also released a rap song last week, and is rumoured to be returning to WWE next month.

The Usos (c) def. Los Matadores, The Real Americans and RybAxel - WWE Tag Team Championship

A lot has changed in WWE in the last year, never mind since April 2014, so we thought we'd take a look back at the card for WrestleMania XXX and look at what each of the wrestlers is doing now.

The kickoff show started with a WWE Tag Team title four-way match, with The Usos defending their titles against Cesaro and Jack Swagger, Primo and Epico and Ryback and Curtis Axel.

The Usos are still with WWE, currently aligned with Universal Champion Roman Reigns, as is Cesaro, who is also a member of the WWE SmackDown roster.

Jack Swagger currently wrestles as Jake Hager in AEW, having left WWE in March 2017. Ryback left WWE the year prior, and owns his own fitness brand and hosts a podcast, as well as making sporadic appearances on the independent circuit.

Primo and Epico are also no longer with WWE, having both been released in April 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, not wrestling in Puerto Rico. Curtis Axel was also released by WWE in April 2020, but has yet to wrestle for another promotion.

Daniel Bryan def. Triple H

The opening match for main card was a fantastic bout between Daniel Bryan and Triple H, with Bryan winning to progress to the WWE World Heavyweight title match in the main event.

The match is widely regarded as one of the best opening matches to a WrestleMania show in history, setting up the incredibly emotional moment at the end of the show.

Daniel Bryan is working as Bryan Danielson in AEW, having surprisingly left WWE in May of this year when his contract expired.

Triple H still works for WWE as the Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development. HHH, whose last match came against Randy Orton on the January 11 episode of Raw this year, is currently recovering from a cardiac event last month, which was brought on by a genetic condition.

The Shield def. Kane & The New Age Outlaws

Next on the show, The Shield's Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose teamed up to take on the trio of Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and Kane.

Both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are still with WWE, with both arguably doing some of the best of their careers on Friday Night SmackDown.

Dean Ambrose remained with WWE for another five years, before leaving in April 2019 at the end of his contract. He now wrestles as one of the top babyface stars in AEW as Jon Moxley.

Billy Gunn is also with AEW, working as a behind-the-scenes coach as well as an on-screen talent, where he teams with his sons Colten and Austin.

This match proved to be Road Dogg's penultimate with WWE, with his last coming at the Royal Rumble in 2015. He now works for WWE as a coach in NXT, a position he's held since May 2019. Prior to that 52-year-old worked as the lead writer for SmackDown.

Kane is probably the most interesting figure on this list, having transitioned into a career in politics, serving as the Mayor of Knox County since 2018. Kane appeared on an episode of SmackDown last month in Tennesse alongside Bianca Belair.

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Competitors: Yoshi Tatsu, Cesaro, Brad Maddox, Brodus Clay, The Great Khali, Zack Ryder, Darren Young, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, Heath Slater, Mark Henry, Titus O'Neil, The Miz, Santino Marella, Xavier Woods, Damien Sandow, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Big E, Fandango, R-Truth, Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, Goldust, Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, and Big Show

Of the notable names in the inaugural Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the bout's winner Cesaro, as previously mentioned, still works for WWE.

As do Drew McIntyre, Xavier Woods, Jinder Mahal, Titus O'Neil, The Miz, Xavier Woods, Big E, Kofi Kingston R-Truth, Rey Mysterio, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus.

Of the other names on this list, The Great Khali was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, working his last match in Saudi Arabia at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018.

Mark Henry and Big Show (Paul Wight) were also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after retiring, but like Goldust (Dustin Rhodes) and Cody Rhodes, the pair left WWE and now work for AEW.

Zack Ryder and Heath Slater, now Matt Cardona and Heath, also both left WWE in April 2020, going on to work for IMPACT Wrestling. Both are signed to the promotion on full-time deals.

John Cena def. Bray Wyatt

One of the most controversial matches on the card, as John Cena beat Bray Wyatt, when many people feel as if Wyatt should have gone over.

John Cena has since transitioned into a career in Hollywood, starring in the likes of Suicide Squad and Fast and Furious 9. He still occasionally appears for WWE though, working with Roman at the SummerSlam event in August.

Bray Wyatt was shockingly released by WWE in July 31 of this year, with his last match coming at the WrestleMania 37 event in April against Randy Orton.

Wyatt has not gone on to wrestle for any promotion since leaving WWE, but since his traditional 90-day non-compete clause is not up, that's not too much of a surprise.

Accompanying Bray Wyatt to the ring for his match was Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Rowan left WWE in April 2020, going on to work the independent scene as Erick Redbeard.

Luke Harper left in December 2019 after requesting his release several months prior. Harper went on to work for AEW as Brodie Lee, before tragically passing away in December 2020.

Brock Lesnar def. The Undertaker

Arguably the most memorable match from WrestleMania XXX saw Brock Lesnar became the man to finally beat The Undertaker's after 'The Deadman' won 21 straight matches at the event.

This wasn't the last time The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar shared the ring, with the pair working together at SummerSlam and Hell in a Cell in 2015.

Since that event, The Undertaker has wrestled another 19 matches for WWE, with only four of them being non-televised. 'Taker did finally retire at Survivor Series 2020, with his final match coming at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020 against AJ Styles.

Brock Lesnar is still with WWE, and is set to wrestle his first match for the company since WrestleMania 36 when he challenges Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel next week.

Lesnar is still used by WWE as one of the company's top stars, regularly returning for matches in Saudi Arabia and at pay-per-views such as SummerSlam and WrestleMania.

AJ Lee (c) def. Aksana, Alicia Fox, Brie Bella, Cameron, Emma, Eva Marie, Layla, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae & Tamina - Divas Championship

Of the 14 women in this Divas Championship match, only four still wrestle for WWE, with Naomi, Natalya, Tamina and Eva Marie still being contracted to Vince McMahon's company.

Eva Marie did leave WWE in August 2017, but ended up returning to the company this year.

Of the other names on this list, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella still sporadically appear from the ring but have both seemingly retired from wrestling, as has Alicia Fox, Aksana, Summer Rae, Rosa Mendes and Layla.

AJ Lee recently returned to wrestling, being announced as one of the commentators and producers for the new Women of Wrestling promotion.

Emma is the only non-WWE talent in this match to still be wrestling, working in IMPACT Wrestling as Tenille Dashwood.

Daniel Bryan def. Randy Orton (c) & Batista - WWE World Heavyweight Championship

As noted previously in this article, WrestleMania XXX ended with Daniel Bryan, who now works in AEW as Bryan Danielson, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

With regards to the other members of the match, Randy Orton will works for WWE, and is the current WWE Raw Tag Team Champion alongside Riddle, being a regular fixture on WWE TV since this match.

After WrestleMania XXX, Batista stuck around in WWE 15 more matches until departing again in June 2014. He did return in 2018, to set up a final WrestleMania match with Triple, announcing his retirement shortly after.

Batista is one of the WWE stars to have transitioned into acting, going on to star in several Hollywood films, including Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers, and Spectre from the James Bond franchise.
