Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh could be heading to Bordeaux, according to The Mirror.

The Moroccan has seen his opportunities of late limited due to the form of Robin Van Persie.

And his former side Bordeaux could provide an exit solution for the Arsenal hitman.

Arsene Wenger had previously stated that the forward was not set to leave the club, and the 27-year-old is doing all he can to be a success at The Emirates Stadium.

“I love this club and I will do all I can to be a success here with Arsenal,” he said last month.

“I am working hard to reach my level.”

The emergence of one of Arsenal's summer signings, Park Chu-Young, who netted his first Gunners goal against Bolton Wanderers in the Carling Cup last week, is also expect to keep Chamakh out of the side.
