Luke Hatfield reckons there's a chance that young West Brom midfielder Quevin Castro could get promoted to the bench in Alex Mowatt's absence.
The former Barnsley man sustained a foot problem at Stoke before the international break and is set for a spell on the sidelines, although the timescale of his injury has not yet been confirmed.
With that in mind, Hatfield thinks that 20-year-old Castro could be set to make the step up to the first-team as he targets his league debut.
How has Castro performed this season?
West Brom signed the Portuguese midfielder, who was previously training with both Chelsea and Arsenal, following a successful trial period this summer.
But the 20-year-old has mainly been deployed in the Under-23s, starting all but two of their seven Premier League 2 fixtures this season.
Castro has made one senior appearance when he was called upon for the Carabao Cup tie against the Gunners back in August when Valerien Ismael opted to name a youthful side in the second-round tie.
He played 90 minutes against Mikel Arteta's side but is yet to feature competitively in the first-team since, although he has been an unused substitute twice.
However, with Mowatt likely to miss the next couple of Championship fixtures, Hatfield has hinted that Castro could take his place in the squad.

What did Hatfield say?
He told GIVEMESPORT: "They've got a young lad in Quevin Castro, who has been playing Under-23s, but has been in and out of the first-team in the first couple of months, so maybe he steps onto the bench."
Is Castro likely to get a chance?
Castro might be one of the least experienced players in the West Brom squad, but Ismael is generally quite short on numbers in the middle of the park.
Jayson Molumby, who's the favourite to replace Mowatt in the starting XI against Birmingham on Friday, was Ismael's only midfield option on the bench at Stoke earlier this month, so there's every chance Castro could be handed his league debut for the Baggies in the coming weeks.
The youngster might be competing with Robert Snodgrass, but the Scot has only recently returned to training, so this could be Castro's time to shine and prove he's worthy of a regular first-team spot.
