Rangers teenager Nathan Patterson should not be considering a move away from the club at this stage of his career, according to journalist Stuart Hodge.
The youngster has been linked with a switch to the Premier League in recent times, but Hodge believes he would be better off staying put for now.

Patterson has been a peripheral figure at Rangers so far this season, making just one start for the champions in the Scottish Premier League.
However, he is already a Scotland international, and has caught the eye of some major clubs south of the border.
The right-back has been linked with Manchester United and Everton, but recently insisted that he is simply focusing on his football with Rangers and Scotland for the moment.
What has Hodge said about Patterson?
Hodge wants Patterson to stay at Rangers as he feels that this scenario would suit both parties.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT about the matter, he said: “Patterson, it would be too early for him to move for a start. He should wait at least one more season and probably two. And for Rangers’ benefit as well, because by the time he becomes an established first-team player, he can showcase some fantastic variety that he’s got in his game in the final third.”

Should Patterson stick with Rangers?
A move to Manchester United may be tempting for Patterson considering the Premier League outfit are one of the biggest clubs on the planet. Hodge may be right in encouraging to bide his time, though, before seeking a big transfer.
Patterson does not turn 20 until later this week, and still has plenty to learn in order to improve his game to fulfill his potential. If he were to move to Old Trafford in the near future, he may struggle to get game time, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already having Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot to call upon to cover the right-back spot in the team.
The talented full-back would likely have to watch on from the sidelines initially, and this could cause his development to stagnate.
Patterson is currently struggling to establish himself in Rangers' starting XI, so his primary focus for now should be to cement his place in their team first over the coming months. Once he has done that, and has excelled on a consistent basis at Ibrox, then he can think about whether he wants to move elsewhere.
