The countdown to WWE Crown Jewel is on as the company prepares to travel to Saudi Arabia to air the pay-per-view.

The event boasts a very attractive lineup, featuring the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and Drew McIntyre's attempt to snatch the WWE title from Big E.

Becky Lynch will also be in action as she defends her SmackDown women's title from Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks.

The Man is adamant of two things heading into Crown Jewel – a win and a show-stopping performance.

"Firstly, people can expect me to walk out there still the Smackdown Women's Champion," she said.

"In addition to that they can expect a barnstormer of a match.

"Any time you get myself, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair - three of the best in the industry regardless of gender - you know you are going to be watching something very special and there is no doubt that match will steal the show."

Becky Lynch SummerSlam

Lynch's comments must be admired as she plans to assert dominance in a country known for its appalling history of women's rights.

It was only in the last decade Saudi Arabia lifted the ban on women being able to vote. It also took the Kingdom until 2017 to allow women to drive and it was only two years ago that women were legally allowed to travel abroad and register a divorce or marriage.

Just four months ago, the Saudi laws permitted women to live alone without the supervision of a male guardian.

Bianca Belair Becky Lynch

Lynch burst back onto the WWE scene in August when she gatecrashed Belair's title match against Carmella at SummerSlam. She defeated The EST in less than a half a minute to claim the blue brand belt, which she retained at Extreme Rules last month.

Big-Time Becks has since been moved over to Raw, alongside Belair, in the latest WWE Draft. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler have both gone in the opposite direction and will now compete on Friday nights, leaving space for a new heel to join the red brand.
