A video has now emerged showing in full Deontay Wilder snubbing Tyson Fury’s praise following the Gypsy King’s 11th-round knockout win over the Bronze Bomber on Saturday night.After Fury defeated Wilder with a brutal knockout punch late into what will go down as one of the most legendary boxing fights in the sport’s history, the Wythenshawe Warrior walked over to Wilder’s corner to commend the American on an excellent fight.Wilder, who had drawn and lost to Fury in their two previous fights, gallantly fought off his opponent's advances for most of the bout, knocking the WBC heavyweight champion down twice, and proving he is among the world’s elite at heavyweight level.But it seems Wilder, who was covered in bruises, did not want to speak to the British fighter following yet another defeat and repeatedly said: “No love.”Fury, incensed by Wilder’s comments, responded saying: “Never mind love, there’s respect.“You got beat fair and square tonight. That’s it. I respect you because I’m a man.”The Bronze Bomber then said: "I won't respect you, I won't respect you. I will never respect you."
Before being ushered away from Wilder’s corner, the British fighter said: “Don’t show bad sportsmanship, you lost fair and square.”
During his post-fight interview, Fury again commended Wilder on his heroic performance, but was aggrieved at his comments immediately after the bout.
Fury said: “I’m not going to make any excuses, Wilder is a top fighter.
“He gave me a real run for my money tonight, and I always said I’m the best in the world and he’s the second-best.
"He's got no love for me, Deontay Wilder, because you know why, because I beat him three times.
"I'm a sportsman. I went over to him to show some love and respect and he didn't want to give it back. That's his problem."
The Nevada State Athletic Commission have since handed Wilder a six-month medical suspension after he was knocked down three times during the fight and was immediately taken to hospital, where he was reported to have suffered a broken hand.
After the fight, Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott explained why the American boxer shunned Fury, telling ESNEWS: “Deontay looks at Fury as a man he had serious issues with concerning allegations and things he'd seen. After they released all that energy, he still felt the way he felt."
