Damian Priest and Bad Bunny arguably stole the show at WWE WrestleMania 37.

The Archer of Infamy partnered up with the pop sensation in order to take on The Miz and John Morrison in a standout match on the card in Tampa, Florida, in a match that emanated from the Raw brand, rather than SmackDown.

Mania 37, of course, was two nights, and Priest and Bunny did battle with Miz and Morrison on night one, going on as the semi-main event, before Sasha Banks’ historic clash with Bianca Belair.

Bad Bunny grabbed the headlines with a phenomenal performance that saw him bust out several high-flying moves, clearly showing that he had trained hard for the match, and showing a huge amount of respect for the world of professional wrestling.

Priest clearly had a huge role to play, too, using his unique style of hard-hitting offence to beat down Miz and Morrison, and allow for the kind of spots that let Bunny thrive.

The finish saw Priest hit an electric chair drop while Bunny hit a crossbody on Miz, with the latter, naturally, getting the pin.

It was the kind of match that gave the WWE Universe a genuinely nice surprise but Damian Priest has now revealed that he could have been taken out of the match in the weeks leading up to it.

Speaking in an interview with Superluchas.com, per Wrestling Inc, Priest revealed that he could have been pulled out, only for Bad Bunny and, most importantly, Triple H, to go to bat for him, and insist that he should take part in the match.

Priest said:

“On Raw, they told me that maybe they were going to change Bad Bunny’s partner. But one of my bosses, Triple H, said that he absolutely does not (want to do that). And then Bad Bunny, he told them himself that he wanted to work with me. That was great.”

Bad Bunny was so impressive that he actually went on to win the 24/7 Championship, and he surely goes down as one of the best celebrity wrestlers to ever perform at WrestleMania, and Priest deserves a huge amount of credit for that too.
