How To Half Flip In Rocket League

A half flip is a technique used in Rocket League.

It can be tricky if you are a fresh face in Rocket League to get the hang of half-flipping straight away so it may require some patience.

However, if you're fairly familiar and competent then you may find it much easier to get performing those slick tricks.

Here is what you need to do:

  • Reverse backwards and flip over
  • Make your car stall by pushing in the opposite direction (your car will start to flip)
  • Push analogue stick in the opposite direction to where you're travelling.
  • Once on its roof, press either left or right on the analogue as well as L1/LT to complete the half-flip.

As mentioned above, some will find this easier than others so be sure to get practising before you feel confident enough to perform this in-game. Botching this during a match will just have your car ending on its roof which is not good.
