Tyson Fury might be one of the most dangerous fighters on the planet but has, on many occasions, shown a softer side.

That side was very evident after he was once videoed purchasing two €200 lobsters and releasing them into the sea.

The Gypsy King picked himself up off the canvas twice in his final bout with Deontay Wilder on Saturday, landing a brutal 11th round knockout punch on his opponent and draw a conclusion to the long-standing feud between the pair.

Despite the trash-talking that took place between the pair, Fury showed his class after the fight, approaching Wilder’s corner to commend the bronze bomber on what was a heroic battle that will go down as one of boxing’s greatest bouts.

But it seems the Withenshawe Warrior has always had a touch of class, remembering the ITV documentary 'Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King' that showed Fury being offered two live lobsters for dinner while eating at a restaurant in Marbella.

Despite the lobster nearly clipping the British boxer, Fury decided not to eat them and purchased the two Lobsters for €200 (£158).

He then proceeded to throw them back into the sea, saying to the restaurant workers: “Take the elastic bands off his flippers, and I’m going to set him free in the sea.”

Reflecting on his lobster saving heroics, WBC heavyweight champion said: “It was alive, and it was going to get burned alive, and I didn't want to burn them.

"I don't like killing animals. It's not often you can do something good in life, and today, that was a good deed, and it only cost me €200."

Sitting back at the restaurant table, Fury then ironically said: “I’m going to have steak.”

Strangely, the lobsters were also named after professional footballers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, a favourite of Manchester United fan Fury.

The fighter who returned to his home in Morecombe earlier this week also jested with Ronaldo in an interview withThe Sun, saying: “I’m really happy Ronaldo’s back at Old Trafford - but this town ain’t big enough for the both of us.

“If I lived in Manchester, it would be a problem. But I’m an hour up the motorway in Morecambe, so he’s got plenty of distance.”
