UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou is one of the most dominant MMA fighters in the world, but when is his next fight?

The 16-3 fighter took the title from Stipe Miocic back at UFC 260, securing a knockout in the second round to cement his place as the baddest man on the planet.

Here's everything you need to know about Francis Ngannou and his next scheduled UFC fight.

Ngannou was previously expected to make his return to the Octagon in 2021, following his defeat of Miocic in March 2021.

Unfortunately, the Heavyweight Champion had to postpone his return to the cage, and the company opted to run with an Interim title fight for the Heavyweight gold.

Ciryl Gane won the interim belt, confirming that Ngannou's next fight would determine the undisputed HW Champion of the world.

Speaking to Submission Radio ahead of their titanic clash, Gane revealed that he is "not worried" about the incredible striking power of the UFC Heavyweight Champion, saying how his interim title win against Derrick Lewis proved he can hang at the very top of the sport.

He said:  “This is not scaring me. You see with Derrick Lewis, he had big knockout power too. Derrick Lewis is a beast too. But it was not a problem.

"When you look at the fight, I stayed inside like that with his punches. It was not a problem. A heavyweight like me, I can punch too like that with a big transfer But no, it’s not a problem for me. This is really not scaring me."

Ngannou is not happy at all with the situation, with the Heavyweight reacting to a tweet from noted MMA journalist Ariel Helwani saying that the title situation is completely wrong. Helwani wrote: "Between June 2019 and March 2021 Ngannou fought once … for a combined 20 seconds. Couldn’t sniff an IC title shot.

"And now three months after he wins, and seems to be on the cusp of superstardom, he has to see an IC title fight made. Doesn’t seem right."

Ngannou replied to this, tweeting "Nothing has been right here" back in June 2021 when the interim title bout was originally announced.
