Mason Greenwood really is a generational talent at Manchester United. It's so easy to forget that the England international is still only 20 years old when you see just how effortlessly he holds his own against the finest defenders up and down the Premier League. It feels like an eternity ago that Greenwood first broke on to the scene with his ambidextrous shooting talents because he's already routinely acknowledged as one of the division's top finishers.

Greenwood scores a stunner

And although his sophomore campaign in United's first-team experienced a few more road-bumps than expected, he really has hit the ground running in 2021/22 to try and make it third time lucky.

In fact, that couldn't have been more apparent than on Saturday afternoon when Greenwood fired the Red Devils into the lead during their Premier League trip to Leicester City.

And we say that because Greenwood did so in spectacular fashion, launching a thunderous strike past Kasper Schmeichel that probably would have carried on for another five minutes without a net.

Cutting onto his left foot from the right flank, Greenwood put everything behind a shot that once it was hit, stayed hit, rampaging its way into the net via the far post. Check it out down below:

Tielemans bags a screamer of his own

However, it could be argued that Youri Tielemans one-upped the United starlet with a stunner of his own just moments later as Leicester ensured the spoils were shared at 1-1 going into half-time.

In what could easily have been a measured cross or deft finish depending on how you look at it, Leicester's midfield magician whipped a glorious strike over David de Gea and into the top corner.

Welcome back, Premier League football

It really was a world-class display of shooting to mark the return of the Premier League on the back of an international break that almost always draws yawns and sighs from English football fans.

However, there could be no finer 'welcome back' party than seeing Greenwood and Tielemans fire home two of the finest goals we've seen so far in the 2021/21 campaign.

It's no secret that Tielemans has an eye for a screamer on the back of his FA Cup final heroics and United fans don't expect anything less than lethal accuracy when Greenwood bears down on goal.

Mo Salah WONDERGOAL! Watford vs Liverpool (Football Terrace)

After all, now that he's raised his goal tally for the season to four when he's facing competition from Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, it really is a credit to his generational talent.

No matter how United spend their transfer riches in the years to come, they'll arguably never have anyone more valuable on their books in the long run than the scorer of their thunderbolt at Leicester.
