Sasha Banks has outright refused to comment on why she inexplicably missed the SummerSlam pay-per-view event in August.

Up until the day of the show, WWE was promoting a match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam on August 21.

On the show itself, WWE announced that Banks couldn't compete, so she was replaced by former SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella.

That match didn't end up happening, with Becky Lynch making her shock return to attack Carmella, insert herself into the match, and beat Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

It's still unknown why Sasha Banks wasn't able to make the show, and 'The Boss' didn't want to explain why when asked by the New York Post in a recent interview.

The former NXT Women's Champion said that she wasn't willing to reveal her "secrets" when asked why she missed the show.

Banks did suggest that we'll eventually find out why she missed the show, saying that the answer could well be in a future documentary or book about her career:

“There’s no reason. I’m not telling you anything. (Laughs). You’re not Oprah. You’re not the WWE Network, you’re not getting me the views. I’m not telling you my secrets. You can read my book. You can read my documentary when I want to speak about it. Thank you very much.”

Sasha Banks beat Becky Lynch in a fantastic match on last night's special 'Supersized' episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The Boss will lock horns with Lynch and Bianca Belair at WWE Crown Jewel next week in a three-way match for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

You can watch WWE Crown Jewel on October 21 live in the US on Peacock and in all other international markets on the WWE Network.
