Journalist Ashley Preece said that young striker Cameron Archer is already impressing both his fellow teammates and the coaches at Aston Villa.

The 19-year-old has burst on the scene at Villa Park this season and has scored four goals in less than 200 minutes of senior action.

In fact, Archer is Villa's top scorer in all competitions, finding the net more times than both Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins combined (3).

What's the latest news with Archer?

Back in May, when Archer was on loan in the National League with Solihull Moors, he probably thought that his chance to play in the Premier League might never come. Fast forward less than six months and the teenager has already made his top-flight debut, at Old Trafford of all places, and is now a regular part of Dean Smith's first-team squad.

Archer's senior bow actually came two years ago, but his first start for the club only came against Barrow in the Carabao Cup earlier this year. In true Archer fashion, he marked the occasion by going home with the match ball.

His most notable goal to date came against Chelsea in the following round, although his four strikes in two EFL Trophy appearances shouldn't be discounted considering they were against Burton and Wycombe's first-team.

Archer has come off the bench in the last two Premier League matches and the fact they came against Manchester United and Tottenham were further evidence of how much Smith trusts the striker.

He's been in the first-team for just under three months, but Preece reckons that he's already left his mark.

What did Preece say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "He's really impressing both his teammates and the coaches behind the scenes."

Why have they been so impressed?

There's already so much to admire about the youngster, but perhaps the standout thing his knack of being in the right place.

His four senior goals this season have all come from inside the penalty box. His first against Barrow and one against Chelsea showed his ability to get in the box and score those priceless tap-ins, although Archer has also proved how clinical he can be when one-on-one following his delicate chip against the League Two side.

But Archer's treble in the EFL Trophy against Burton showed a different side to his game. Two of his three goals came from outside the box, with the 19-year-old showing great maturity to patiently wait for his chance before firing home two brilliant finishes from distance.
