UFC star Paddy Pimblett was ejected from Liverpool's away game in Watford against the hometown Hornets for 'celebrating' too wildly.

Pimblett, 26, posted to Instagram explaining that he was appalled by the treatment he received when five stewards escorted him and his friends out of Vicarage Road during the game between Liverpool and Watford on Saturday.

The Reds fan lives in Liverpool with his fiancée, who was born and raised in Merseyside and is also a Kopite, and rarely misses a game home or away.

He had made the 196-mile road trip down to Hertfordshire on Saturday with the rest of the away fans as the celebrations continued following his stunning debut against Luigi Vendramimi in Las Vegas.

In one video, Pimblett can be heard off-camera saying: "We haven't done nothing wrong mate," to a steward. Someone can then be heard telling him and his pals that they shouldn't have been in the home end, as is standard procedure for away fans attending games in the Premier League. Security then removed the fighter and his friends from the stadium.

Pimblett went into further detail on Instagram. "Vicarage Road stewards on a power trip kicking us out for celebrating WOW!," he wrote on the social media platform.

"Cannot believe the audacity of these stewards singling us out when multiple ppl celebrated around us an escorted us out the stadium @watfordfcofficial do something about ur stewards."

He also addressed the incident in a follow-up story, where he said they had also been kicked out of a pub which is popular with the locals.

"Been kicked out of the match for celebrating and now we’ve been kicked out of the boozer by stewards because it is a home boozer," he said.

Pimblett may not have been too happy with the matchday experience but he is apparently a big fan of Ben Foster. The former England goalkeeper had given him tickets for the game. Pimblett added that he hopes Watford get relegated for the 'horrible' way the whole situation was handled.

"Watford, Ben Foster, I love you mate," he said. "But I hope Watford go down, youse are horrible, horrible."
