WWE: Becky Lynch fires shots at Ronda Rousey over potential in-ring return

Becky Lynch has issued a stark warning to former WWE rival Ronda Rousey

Becky Lynch has warned old rival Ronda Rousey to think twice about a return to WWE.

Lynch, the current SmackDown Women’s Champion, recently returned to the ring after giving birth to her daughter with husband Seth Rollins in December.

Rousey became a mother just last month, giving birth to a baby girl with husband Travis Browne.

Lynch was asked by TMZ if she had any advice for Rousey, who last competed in WWE in April 2019.

"Don't [come back], cause I'm still on top, Ronda, you won't like it," Lynch said. "That's my advice."

Lynch and Rousey’s intense rivalry began in 2018, culminating in WrestleMania 35 when they became the first ever women to headline the event. The feud often spilled over onto Twitter, where the superstars engaged in a passionate war of words.

Rousey has previously suggested she will return to WWE, but has never elaborated on when this could take place. The 34-year-old was an Olympic judo champion at Beijing 2008, before pursuing a successful career in mixed martial arts.

Ronda Rousey has hinted she will return to WWE

She signed a contract with WWE in 2018, making her first appearance at Royal Rumble that year.

Despite leaving WWE a year later, Rousey’s rivalry with Lynch is long remembered.

Lynch was defeated on Friday by Sasha Banks. It was the first time in over 990 days that she had been pinned in a televised match.

Prior to Friday, Lynch's last pinfall loss came when Bayley beat her for the SmackDown Women's title at Money in the Bank on May 19, 2018, 880 days ago. The 34-year-old defends her SmackDown Women's Championship title at Crown Jewel against Bianca Belair and Banks next week.

After issuing her stark warning to Rousey, Lynch told TMZ about her recent return to the WWE ring.

"Yeah, it’s been crazy, man, because it went from 0 to 100 real quick," Lynch said. "So coming back, and then coming back on top after not wrestling for a year and a half, it’s been wild, but it’s been amazing, and my baby comes along everywhere with me, except right now, I’m in New York and left her home for the first time in 10 months.

"And look, she hasn’t slept through the night in 10 months, but I leave and she sleeps through the night. So, there we go."
