Roman Reigns was victorious in a big Champion vs. Champion match at the taping of Tribute to the Troops following last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The show was taped at the Toyota Arena in California after SmackDown on Friday night, with WrestlingInc providing some interesting details and spoilers for the event.

Michael Cole and Pat McAfee did commentary for the show, while Lillian Garcia returned to open the show with a rendition of the National Anthem.

The matches kicked off with WWE Champion Big E beating Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match following a Big Ending. 

Up next, Bianca Belair beat Liv Morgan in what was described as "a strong women's match". The babyfaces shook hands and hugged after the match,

The three-match card ended with Universal Champion Roman Reigns beating Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a champion vs. champion non-title match.

The match was created after Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura answered Reigns' open challenge, with 'The Tribal Chief' picking up the win following a big Spear.

The 2021 WWE Tribute to the Troops show is slated to air on November 14 on FOX, so make sure you keep a close eye out for that one.
