Conor McGregor has a tendency to make headlines for all the wrong reasons and that is once again the case.

Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti has accused the UFC star of punching him for no reason while the two were partying.

The 41-year-old, who ended up with a broken nose, said that he would sue McGregor. “I took a punch for nothing", said Facchinetti.

"That punch could go to anyone. My friends, my wife, or other friends. That’s why I decided to sue Conor McGregor because he is a violent and dangerous person.”

Facchinetti's wife said about the incident: "Out of nowhere, he threw a punch in the face of Francesco. He was inviting us to another party. Francesco said, ‘Okay, let’s go’ and he hit him.

"Luckily, he [Francesco] was very close so he [McGregor] couldn’t load up on his punch. Francesco flew back, fell on the table, and then on the ground. The first thing that came to mind was ‘are we kidding? Is it a show?’

"Then I was paralyzed. I turned around and saw that his friends were holding him against the wall because he wanted to continue beating Francesco.

"Then they took him away. I turned on the light and the guards turned them off. Francesco was bleeding. I wanted to help him and the guards chased us away."

McGregor has been involved in several controversies throughout his career, so him landing in hot water is nothing new.

He was once captured punching an elderly gentlemen in a whisky related disagreement.

While punching Facchinetti out of nowhere is baffling, we must not forget that this is the same guy who has done some pretty bizarre stuff on social media over the past few months.

Facchinetti has said that he will take legal action and it will be interesting to see how things unfold.

This comes only weeks after the Notorious One got caught up in a scuffle with musician Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs.
