To the surprise of many, WWE seemingly turned two rather popular members of the women's division into heels at a live event this weekend.

Shotzi and Tegan Nox were called up to WWE's main roster earlier this year to serve as a tag team for the women's division, and will certainly be eyeing up a tag team title shot in the near future.

However, the team has seemingly undergone a pretty big change, with the former NXT stars working as heels for the first time at a live event over the weekend.

Those in attendance at the El Paso house show last night have claimed that Tegan Nox and Shotzi were working as heels in their match with Natalya and Tamina.

As can be seen from the tweet above, Tegan Nox seemed to relish the opportunity to be a villain for the first time since she got called up to the main roster, copying some of Natalya's signature taunts.

There is no word on why WWE has seemingly turned Tegan Nox and Shotzi heel, but based on the non-televised tryout last night, it seems like the decision could be a positive one for the tandem.

Tegan Nox was moved over to Monday Night Raw in the WWE Draft, while Shotzi remained on Friday Night SmackDown, seemingly also signally the end of their partnership.
