Bruno Lage has made signing a new central defender a priority ahead of the transfer window reopening in January, according to Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield.

Wolves suffered a significant blow when Yerson Mosquera was ruled out of action for up to five months after sustaining a hamstring injury during the Carabao Cup third round exit at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
Mosquera's lay-off has left Lage, who was appointed as Nuno Espirito Santo's successor in June, with just four senior central defenders.
But two of those options - Romain Saiss and Willy Boly - are expected to be called up by their respective countries for the Africa Cup of Nations, which is set to get underway in January but will see the players link-up with their international team-mates before the turn of the year.
Defender Dion Sanderson is currently on a season-long loan with Championship side Birmingham City after penning a four-year Molineux deal during the summer.
But it has been suggested that Sanderson, 21, could be recalled in January in a bid to boost Lage's squad.

Hatfield has backed claims that Sanderson could be made to return from St Andrews ahead of schedule.
However, the journalist does not think Lage will stop there when it comes to bolstering his defensive options.
Hatfield insists the Portuguese will look to the transfer market for further reinforcements at the turn of the year.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I don't know whether it will be one where Sanderson is recalled rather than signing a new player.
"Bruno Lage has said that a centre-back is right at the top of his priority list in January."
Who have Wolves been linked with?
It was suggested last month that Lage is mulling over whether to make a move for a free agent as a cost-cutting short-term option.
Former Manchester City central defender Eliaquim Mangala and Mateo Mussachio, formerly of Villarreal and AC Milan, remain without a club and have been name-checked as potential targets.
Should Lage opt to go down the route of simply recalling Sanderson, he would be getting a centre-half who has made five appearances since securing a loan switch to Birmingham.
He has already shown that he has plenty of potential, with him featuring 27 times and getting on the scoresheet once during a successful season-long loan spell with League One outfit Sunderland last term.
